Sell Your Used Electronics on Gazelle

One way to make money online is by selling your old and unwanted electronics on Gazelle. I just sold my three year old Nikon Coolpix L3 for $14 on gazelle. That may not seem like much, but honestly that camera would have sat in my desk drawer for years until I finally threw it out!
I am sure many of you have old electronics that are just dropping in value as each month goes by. I even did a test on Gazelle to see if they pay in proportion to what something is actually worth. We have a Sony Handycam video camera that I paid $900 for last year and I entered the information about this camera onto Gazelle and they offered me $296 for it. In this case, if I were going to sell this camera online â?? I probably wouldnâ??t accept $296 for it. But itâ??s good to know that Gazelle does offer a higher rate for higher valued items.
While itâ??s true that you might make a slightly higher profit on selling your electronics on ebay â?? there is no guarantee that you will have a buyer. Gazelle basically tells you upfront exactly how much money they will give you for your item.
If you can purchase used electronics very cheap and then resell them to Gazelle â?? you might be able to turn a quick profit. The best part is that Gazelle pays for all of the shipping required by emailing you a prepaid mailing label.
This is Gazelleâ??s website: Get Cash For Your Gadgets at gazelle.com!

I would NOT recommend this service to any one. I sent my cellphone in over a month ago and as of today have yet to receive my funds. The website talks about how “quick” and “easy” the whole process is. “Get your payment within a couple of days” YEAH RIGHT!!!!!!!! But for me its been nothing but a migrane. Supposedly, the sent my payment to Paypal and everything went through just fine… but Paypal doesnt have a record of the transaction. Still trying everyday to get something other than “we are working on it” from the customer service person. STAY AWAY AT ALL COSTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hi xosojo – I am sorry you had a bad experience with Gazelle. I have sold them two old cell phones and I recieved my money fairly quickly. Let me know if anyone else out there had a bad experience.
They owe me $350.00 for a one year old laptop. They said they sent a Costco Cash card Oct. 2, but “maybe it got lost in the mail”. “If I don’t receive it by November 2 I should get back to them.” I am sorry to see that Costco has gotten hooked up with these scammers – Costco is a reputable company. What a hassle.
I am sorry you had to experience that – Gazelle paid me whenever I used them. But my payments were much lower amounts. More like $15 or $25.
I am really starting to believe this is a scam as well , it has been over 3 weeks and i sent gazelle my blackberry 8900 curve almost brand new and have yet to receive my funds, everytime i contact them (via chat) no actual phone number i get the run around about the payment date. dont use thi company it’s a scam.let’s see what we can do to stop this fraud!!!!!!!!!!!!1
Sorry, you had to deal with that. I haven’t used Gazelle in many months. When I did use them I got paid. Maybe things have changed on their end. I hope they are not scamming people!
I just sent my package 1 week ago, and one phone condition, they disagreed with me on and offered to return it to me or give me a lower price which I accepted being that the difference was only 11.00 and I had no use of the phone and everyone that wanted to buy it wanted to give me a third of the gazelle offer. I sent 4 items, 2 they said the visa card is mailed and I should have within 7 days. If it comes the whole transaction would be 2 weeks for 2 of my items. Why they were not all processed together I don’t know. I will update next week
Again to update i still havent been paid , i am so upset because my phone was in very good condition and they (gazelle) treat you like crap when you want to know where your money is … for the people that never received their money let’s look into filing a class action lawsuit against them…please don’t use this company and i will include walmart in the lawsuit as well since my check card was supposed to come from them
I have sent in 5 separate items since 8/09. Are they slow; yes, sometimes it can take them over a month to complete payment; other times only 2 weeks. It depends on their staffing. Check quantcast and see their website volume. It is growing tremendously due to them being prime in the market. I had doubts initially, but always find them helpful by phone and web support is always quick. I believe their intentions are good and they are trying. Yes, I think they could update the time process info on their site to be more realistic to their capabilities and current use volume. I always request cash via paypal. Never had a glitch on payment when ultimately processed. Received over $2000 back so far on fairly high ticket items, and am happy. Currently have another item sent in.
Sent in a Brand new HTC HD offered me $300 buck …it’s be a week now and no update on their site that they have received it…tracking says it arrived this past Monday.
SCAM companies dont respond to email so call them @ (617) 787-8002–sent my lke new iphone and was quoted online $65.00-they downgraded the condition to poor and sent me $30.00-I never ok’d the lower offer (they never sent an email to me regarding this) they claimed I didnt respond so they couldnt do anything-I asked for my phone to be returned but they sold it immediately-sadly, they make money via dishonest business practices
