Heya Mike, glad to be your first commenter ;-)

Saw your blog via your guest post on Alan’s blog.

Aren’t you like the guy who checked the egg on Oceans 12?

Ohio? Stop by the “turning bone” casino on your way home! Too bad I can’t list fantasy football as a source of income for the past two seasons now!

Hi! I clicked on your signature from an email about designing those animal icons for you. I’m obviously in need of the extra income, trolling craigslist for design jobs. I’m definitely going to check into your site further and refer a few friends. The economy is taking quite the hit on myself and my design friends.
    Thanks for providing the tools!

Thanks Meghan – if you are not already on Shutterstock, you should put your designs on there. I may take a while, but once you get 100+ files on Shutterstock you should make some decent income. Plus you can put those same files on iStockphoto, Dreamstime, Stockxpert and BigStockPhoto. I think they require vector format.

    Good luck!

    Hey Dave,
You have an awesome website, with a great deal of information. It has helped inspire me to pursue a challenge of earning $100 per day in residual income in 760 days. Did you stop writing on this site? I look forward to future updates. I would like to trade links with you too, let me know if you would consider it.

    Hi Matt,

Thanks for writing. It’s “Mike” — not Dave! I know I have’nt updated this site, I’ve been busy with work. I’m glad you like it! I will do my best to start reposting soon. Good luck with your goals!

Hi, Mike. Great blog idea. I just read your post on the DS forum. I’m a graphic designer and a writer, so I’m all about earning income from online sources. My design business took a huge dive when the economy did, so I’ve become more focused on my writing.

I haven’t tried these out yet, but take a look at: http://ourunsentletters.com/node/3
    http://grassrootsmag.com/submissions.html
    http://www.speakonlytome.com/writeforus.html#
It’s spec work, but if you’re a good writer you have a better chance of making a sale.

This blog has some good resources, too:

I’ll spread the word about your blog!

  12. Pat with Smart Passive Income 4 August 2009 at 11:26 pm #

    Hey Mike!

Just stumbled upon your website today. I actually have a very similar website, although it goes into a lot of other kinds of passive income methods.

I have a small portion about eHow and I’m really interested in following your 333 goal. Some of my top articles on my blog are about eHow, and one in particular was a goal of writing 5 articles per day for 1 year. I did that math and everything and had a lot of buzz about it – but I ended up changing it to 5 articles a day for 1 month, which I did complete. Since then, I haven’t added any new articles (6 months ago), but have consistently earned between $130 and $150 each month.

I think your goal is great and you should be earning $300-600 of residual income per month in no time, and hopefully more since you were smart and read WriterGig’s book early in your process – something I did very late in my experiment and really regret.

Anyways, sorry to ramble. Just wanted to wish you the best of luck! Cheers!

Of course I know who you are Pat! I have been to your website many times. For those of you that aren’t familiar with Pat – he is making MUCH more money than I am each month in residual income. He has some great ideas and a blog that is a wealth of information.

    Check him out at http://www.smartpassiveincome.com

I relate to the “no office job” mentality as my life can be rather sporadic and unscheduled.

Some sites I use: Triond, Bukisa, Daily Article, Constant Content, Textbroker, eHow, Helium, Squidoo, Hubpages. Squidoo, Text Broker, eHow, and Helium are my main ones.

I also am in internet marketing (I mentioned thirtydaychallenge.com on eHow) and I write and submit articles, stories, etc for publication. I think I may get into submitting photography to some of those sites you mentioned.

Hi Katherine! Can you update us on how you are doing making money online?

Great information. Blogging is certainly a profitable business.

  17. Blogging Banks 5 March 2010 at 3:35 pm #

What I do to make extra money is opening checking or savings accounts in order to get a bank bonus, worht anywhere from $25 to $200. For example if you open a Chase Checking account with $100, and you either make 5 debit card purchases with the debit card associated with your account or you sign up for direct deposit, you would make $100. It is easy to sign up, and doesn’t take more than a few minutes.

Another way to make passive income is by opening Certificates of Deposit, which acutally pay you interest on your investment. The best 5 year Certificates of Deposit earn 3% now, which means that for every $1000 you put in, you earn $30 in totally passive interest income.

I like your banking idea, but can you do this at the same bank twice? Wouldn’t you eventually run out of banks? CD’s are solid, but I’d rather use that money to make an iphone app, start a business or patent an invention! I guess I am a risk taker!
