Hi Janet – Wow! That’s a lot of articles! I wish I had your perserverence! Are you at all worried about eHow changing the structure of their payouts? Just curious. My fear is to write 500 articles and then have eHow cut their payouts. Also, did you lose any articles when eHow did their “house cleaning” and removed some articles? Maybe you will motivate me to get writing for eHow again!

Great job on your earnings. Enjoyed reading your experiment. I’ve been with ehow for just over 2 yrs. I not only pay my mortgage each month, I cover my utilities as well… and groceries and even took an 18 day road trip this past summer, thanks to saving my extra ehow money. I have 545 articles as of this writing, as you can see if you click my name.

Thanks! How many backlinks are you doing per article? Has this really paid off? My articles have zero backlinks – maybe I should add some. Do you use an article website for getting links? Like articleranks?

Great blog. I’m one month new on eHow and I read WriterGig’s very helpful book too. I’m finding that many articles are not yet earning anything, but I hit a few home runs that have given me nearly all my earnings so far. A few well placed backlinks were responsible for those articles taking off. However, I don’t know if those links will keep driving good traffic after the loyal readers of the backlinked websites have all read the articles. Too early to see if the SEO is working yet.

I agree that eHow is definitely a good place to get some extra cash. I’m not so good on the keywords though. I wrote 400 articles (in 2 accounts) in 3 months. I broke $200 last month, but it’s nowhere near $3/article/month. Any suggestions from eHow winners?

Thanks for the words of encourgement Lisa! I know how you feel, I completely slacked off on this blog and pursuing money online for months. I can “only hope” to be as successful as bloggers like Pat from “Smart Passive Income” or people like Shoemoney on John Chow. I will tell you that I’ve learned that consistency is their secret. I think it is the same with eHow!
