very very new to RedBubble...well, not really I guess. Started playing with it a while ago, but let it slip a bit. Have made several sales on zazzle @ http://www.yshuapaints.com and a couple on fineartamerica.com, but I looking at uploading more to redbubble and cranking up promotion on there.

I enjoyed this article quite a lot. you give some good insight into selling on RedBubble. Thank you.

As a member of this site, everyone expects to sell instantly, but it won't happen!
I have been on there for 3+ years and will be leaving as soon as I get my second payment from them.
To make money you have to price yourself out of the market to make a dollar, but if your prices are too high nobody will buy.!
IE:Sale of a greeting card:) manufacturing fee £1.04 + Tax,my grand total for a Sale is £0.29p,so having produced the image, uploaded, struggled to sell, the eventual (Sale) leaves me in no doubt that RB is reaping the rewards, making the dough, while we struggle to make money..isn't worth joining.
Besides, you have to be [found] first as there are so many new members now.
I can't wait to exit the place IMO because there are rules and regs that are not only bent,[they are positively mangled, screwed, and warped] for certain members who get away with murder, whereas others pay the ultimate price for doing the same thing!
Can't wait to see the High & Mighty RedBubble fall flat on it's face.
Enter at your own risk!!

I have sold hundreds of T-shirt designs on Cafepress, but I have no sold one single work on Redbubble. I don't think it is a site for selling, it is more of a morale support between artists that's all. I stopped loading my artworks to redbubble because the site has a particular kind of art flavor of which I can't explain and the taste is a bit conservative for me. That's my two cents of opinion.....

Hi -- sorry about your bad experience with RedBubble. When you said "I sell many, many pieces online" -- what website do you use to sell all of these? Thanks for letting my readers know about your experience with RedBubble.

I was in redbubble for 2 years (i just cancel my account). During my tertulia there I sold…. zero pieces. And that was a good thing.
So let me explain this a little more.
sold zero… redbubble does not advertise to attract custumers, only other artists wanting to sale not to buy.
that was a good thing… because redbubble makes the money. they charge high prices to sellers, and you are force to add a small mark-up, so let’s say u add a 20% on your cards (around 30¢ profit) how many do you need to sell to reach the $20 cut ( if you use paypal) can you sit and wait until you reach $100?
I sell many, many pieces online, and using redbubble is a waste of time.

Thanks for letting us know - I hope you get a sale soon! Do you have any other websites that you have had luck getting sales on? If so, I'd love to hear about them.

I have been on Redbubble for about a month, albeit, a short time, but one of my pics recieved 314 hits and yet, no purchase. I'm beginning to wonder what it takes to actually make a sale. Great review, by the way.

Hey Jamia! It's good to hear from you. I checked out your blog - it looks great! There's some nice artwork on there and some cool clothing. Yes, I think RedBubble would be right up your alley! Have you had any luck on Etsy?
