March 2010 – Earnings Report
My earnings report for March, 2010 shows some promise, but I am still trying to come up with some better ways to make money online. My new projects like my Amazon associates stores, my CashCrate blog and my ebooks will need some time to climb the search engines and gain some attention. In the meantime, my earnings are starting to improve - my monthly earnings increased almost $300 compared to February’s earnings report. I no longer have ProjectPayday, YouData, SquishyCash or TreasureTrooper on my earnings list as all four of these websites produced no money for me. (and to be honest, all four of these websites pretty much SUCK!) Should they produce earnings for me in the future, I will put them back on the list.
By looking at other successful bloggers in the “make money online” niche, I can see that many of them have succeeded with selling ebooks, Amazon Associate websites, private advertisers on their blogs, iPhone apps, CashCrate and Google Adsense. These seem to be the primary sources of online income for the successful bloggers that I have been following. I am going to try and cover all of these arenas over the next year. Here is a breakdown of my March earnings from all of my various money making sources…
March 2010, Earnings Report
- Ehow: $62.35
- Constant Content: $107.50
- Shutterstock: $65.53
- Dreamstime: $28.78
- BigStockPhoto: $13.00
- iStockPhoto: $22.61
- Fotolia: $0
- Field Inspections: $100.00
- Focus Groups: $125.00
- e-Junkie Affiliate: $0
- CashCrate: $182.97
- Google Adsense: $116.69
- Blog Advertising: $0
- ebook Sales: $75.00
- Amazon Associates: $0
- User Testing: $10.00
TOTAL RESIDUAL INCOME: $909.43
+/- February Earnings: +$296.36
My first ebook “How to Start a Limousine Business” started off strong with four sales in the first week it was available. Then sales started to dwindle and I even had two people reverse the charges after purchasing my ebook. This was not how I was hoping my sales would look at the end of March, but I am hoping that my SEO investment in LinkWheeler will get me to the top of the search engines for “How to Start a Limousine Business” as this should help increase my overall sales.
On another note, I got a phone call from an executive with “As Seen on TV” who had some interest in my No Splatter Ring. She told me she does not think it could be sold as a “stand alone” product – but it could be an excellent “add on” for another product. She told me she would be submitting my NO Splatter Ring video to some of her vendors who may be intersted in discussing the possibility of manufacting my product. She did say that this process could be lengthy and I may not hear back from her for months. But the fact that she took the time to call me and submit my product give me some hope!
Looking at my other sources of income, I was most impressed with CashCrate. My CashCrate earnings increased by over a $100 this month. I went from $72.21 in February to $182.97 in March. I am very pleased with this program and it’s results, plus CashCrate pays me on time every month. My stock photography earnings seemed to stay the same, as well as my eHow earnings – which remain pretty consistent at around $60 a month. I completed my first website review for User Testing yesterday and this site holds some promise as a possible money making source – I earned $10 for 15 minutes of my time. Hopefully I will cross the $1,000 mark for my April earnings report.
Best regards,
Michael-John Wolfe

Sweet! Hope it goes well with the No Splatter ring. I just published my monthly earnings report too – focused on freelance writing.
I have a good amount of followers on AC who would benefit from the info so I publish it there: http://www.associatedcontent.com/article/2850114/freelance_writing_monthly_earnings.html?cat=31
Hey…no fair! You are beating me in earnings! $1,093 — nice work! Looks like Demand Studios is really paying off for you! May your earnings keep increasing!
MJ
Nice Job,
It’s always good to see people making impressive gains. This is my first month of try to aggressively increase my internet earnings and I had some good results. This just goes to show that if you stick with, the money will come.
Thanks George! Let us know how things increase for you. Best of luck!

Mostly positive results. Making close to $1000 from all t hese various sources–niiice!
That seems like incredible news regarding your No Splatter Ring.
Thanks Moon! Now I just need to make about $5,000 more a month and I can support my family from all my sources…that may take a while!

Looking good!
I am about to end my first month on eHow and so far the earnings have been low but promising. I definitely see lots of potential. I have also got motivated to promote the CashCrate referrals and create some Amazon Associate websites. My goal is $1000 per month by the end of the year. We shall see how it goes!
You can do it DJ! $1,000 is a realistic goal by the end of the year. You will have to bust your butt though!

First time here and I like what I see. You did a bit more than I. Hopefully we both reach our goals in April.
Good luck with the ebook and the No Splatter ring.
Thanks for stopping by Daneil! I just checked out your blog – I never knew about becoming a “poker affiliate” – how do you get your referrals? Do you have a blog set up specifically for poker? If so, can I check it out? Good luck to you!

I think you’ve done brilliantly! All the best in April. Since I stopped freelance writing this year, my earnings have taken a nosedive. It’s cool. I’d much rather be doing something I enjoy.
That’s right – we all gotta do what makes us happy. I’ll be happy in a few years, when I can put my residual income on “auto-pilot” and just go fly fishing every day!
MJ
Congratulations on your earnings for March. I have just published mine and I know that I still have a long way to go.
Good luck with the splatter ring – really enjoyed watching your vid.
Nice job on your earnings as well! Do you make Hubpages with Amazon links on them? If so, do you have any advice for doing this? Hope your earnings keep growing every month!
MJ
When I create an amazon hubpage, I generally pick one item like spoons for example and write a review on two or three of the popular spoons that sell. All info is gained from the Amazon description so it is just a matter of writing a minimum of 400 words, adding a few images and placing the appropriate amazon capsules in three or four places for people to click through to.
Wow – I never thought of using Hubpages for Amazon sales! Thank you for letting me know about this. Hubpages may be a good option for me, because the Amazon niche blog that I built is sitting in the Google sandbox. I am guessing that any Amazon niche product blogs that I build will go through this same process.

hey Michael,
I wanted to get your take on eHow’s move to Demand Studios publishing platform. Looks like now it will be seamless. I’m really interested to see how all of this plays out…
I do remember that Demand Studios platform was a little easier to use. I can’t tell you how many times I have written an eHow article and clicked “continue” to the next page and lost all of my writing. Hopefully that won’t happen with the DS platform!

Hey MJ, I have many poker sites but selling them to focus on one poker site. Being a poker affiliate is just like promoting any other product but a little more hard work and the commissions are higher than anything you would promote to mainstream.
You can check out my poker blog.
Thanks Deneil! Sorry I am just replying now – this comment was in my “spam” folder for some reason. Nice blog! I was playing Sportsbook poker for a while and I was pretty much finishing 4th at a table of 10 people in all my sit-n-gos. I finally gave up!
