Make Money Online Writing Articles for FireHow
With eHowâ??s recent change to Demand Studios platform, many writers got left in the dust when they were unable to get accepted as a Demand Studios writer. This is unfortunate for those writers who had high hopes of building a steady source of residual income from eHow. If you are one of these eHow writers who was unable to make the move to becoming a Demand Studios writer â?? it may be time to look at other options.Â
There is a website similar to eHow called FireHow and the platform is roughly the same. Like eHow, FireHow has a Writer Payment Plan that will reward you with a portion of the advertising revenue generated by your articles. I am guessing that FireHow articles will not have the strength that eHow articles have had in the search engines. At the very least, if you have lost some past articles on eHow you might want to post them on FireHow. It beats having them sit stagnant and not earning any money at all.Â
At this point, anyone can join and write for FireHow, but I have yet to hear about an actual memberâ??s earnings history. I will say that their website is no where near the quality of eHowâ??s website â?? but it looks like it gets the job done. FireHow prefers that all articles submitted are between 400 and 600 words and they highly suggest that you choose a unique topic. My guess is that focusing on long tail keywords in your articles would be a good idea. Also, if you are writing for FireHow you will probably need to build backlinks to your articles in order to help them get ranked.
If you have written articles for FireHow and had some success or you can give us an idea of how much an average article earns per month â?? please let us know about it.
You can visit FireHow’s website here: FireHow

Thanks for the information. I think that you are right about the rankings in Google. It probably does not come close.
BTW, I really enjoy reading your blog posts each week.
Hi Alicia – thanks for coming back to my blog each week! Hopefully I can keep coming up with good money making ideas!
MJ
Glad I only put 3 non DS articles on eHow. Seems like the WCP got too big to monitor effectively.
Heather — do you have any other writing websites that I should consider doing a post about? I am running low on quality freelance writing websites! If you know of any that are like DS or Break — please let me know!
Thanks,
MJ
FireHow does seem like a decent alternative to Ehow. Hell, they pretty much cloned the logo. But they don’t sport the monster PR8 that Ehow does. I think it is a good place to put your rejected Ehow articles on but not much else, but that’s just me.
FireHow, no thanks.
I’d rather spend my time building a niche website, have control of all of my articles, and develop a quality brand/website, instead of putting it on content sites, like Bukisa, FireHow, InfoBarrel, etc.

Hi MJ – Just saw your blog, so I don’t know if you’re familiar with Constant-Content. It’s similar to DS, but I think less strict on format. I’ve sold 4 articles through CC, and earned up-front payments via PayPal.
I have been on eHow for a few months and like it, but the recent changes will make writing there much more time-consuming, so I’m thinking of giving FireHow a try… PR is very low, though!
Yes — thank you, I am on CC. You can check out some of my past blog posts, like the one on “How to Write a 14 Minute Constant Contant Article”. Let us know if you find any other sites that I have not listed. Best of luck!

I wouldn’t write one sentence for any property Demand Studios has it’s hands in. All they’re doing are USING writers to create a massive SEO powerhouse which they’ll in turn use to boost other properties they own.
They’re corporate spammers. The content is 90% crap. There are plenty of other places to make money writing – avoid, avoid, avoid.
I have been a member of FireHow for 28 days. After eHow stopped publishing articles, I published 12 articles on FireHow. To date I have 982 views and have earned $3.64. The payment at FireHow is similar to eHow being that it is a secret formula based on views, quality, comments, and adsense. The articles at Firehow are not ranked well on Google. You must backlink your work. I like FireHow, the writers format is easy, and I am able to add my images. Will I earn the same as eHow? No…eHow’s writers compensation program was the best.
Hi Susan – yes, I do not think FireHow will ever make us the money the earnings that eHow did, but I guess it’s better than nothing!
MJ
I wonder are there any long term fireHow writers that are making money? Maybe they know the secret to being successful?
Today I am contemplating removing my articles from fireHow as the earnings STINK. 1060 views = $3.84. People tell me that ad-clicks are part of our earnings and I say NO WAY!
I believe that fireHow will benefit a writer for backlinks to other articles. So in that respect fireHow will serve a writer well.
What do you think?
Hi Susan, I think that FireHOW will never have the earnings potential that eHow has, unfortunatley. Maybe backlinks are the best use for FireHOW. I know a lot of people are missing eHow’s old format right now.

I’m sitting at Starbucks and reading. Of all things, I just came across the formula for Firehow payments, and it is super simle and not at all what you would think. For every three (3) times a reader accesses (clicks) one of the ADs on the article page, the writer earns a penny.
Oh well, “slow and steady wins the race.”
I have published at FireHow for 9 months. I have 110 articles and I earn $4.25 per 1000 views. That amount will increase if there are any ad clicks. In comparison to other websites I believe FH pays well per view. I noticed that there is no contact information for the Mr. Wolfe? Please contact me.
I have 17,000 views and I have earned $82.00. The payment is per view, it is not like eHow where you would get a percentage of your adsense revenue. So far I have not found a website that compares to ehow. You can earn at FH, but you must promote your content by sharing. Also FH is a great way to backlink your other content.
I just found out about Firehow recently and thought I would search the web for some reviews, so far I have been contributing content to a revenue sharing website called Seekyt and was looking for more places to get paid to write.
Thanks for the helpful review.
