Make Money from Home as a Dog Host for Sleepover Rover
Most of the posts here on the Residuals and Royalties blog consist of ways to make money online and create sources of residual income. Every so often I like to branch out and look at other possible opportunities to make supplemental income from home. If you are a dog lover, I have found a way for you to make some quick extra cash by temporarily hosting other peopleâ??s dogs in your home.Â
If you are like me, you love dogs but you donâ??t want the full time commitment of taking care of a dog day in and day out. Wouldnâ??t you much rather get to play with a new dog for a week and then send him back to his home â?? AND get paid for every day that the dog stayed at your house? If this sounds appealing â?? you should look into becoming a dog host with Sleepover Rover.Â
The fact is that most dog owners really hate putting their dog into a kennel when they have to go out of town for a few days. They would feel much more comfortable having their dog stay in a loving home while they were away. This is where you come in â?? simply register as a host on Sleepover Rover and they will match you with dog owners who are in need of your services. Â
You will get paid $17 per day for watching one dog in your home, which would equate to $119 for the week. It really helps if you have a backyard for the dog to play in and if you have really young children, constantly bringing new dogs in and out of the house is not a good idea.Â
You must be at home most of the time during the dogâ??s stay with you. Obviously you can run out to do errands for a few hours â?? but if you plan on working your full time job while you are hosting a dog, Sleepover Rover will not allow it.
I know that many of my readers work from home and this might be the perfect opportunity to make some extra cash while enjoying the company of a part time pet. As of now, Sleepover Rover only serves Los Angeles, Orange County, Ventura County, San Diego, Las Vegas, Denver, Phoenix and Tucson â?? but it looks like they are growing fast. So if your city is not listed, keep checking back with their website or inquire by dropping them an email. Â
You can register as a host on Sleepover Roverâ??s website here: Sleepover Rover

Really interesting concept. My wife works from home as a graphic designer and I have tried to get her to start a dog walking business in our neighborhood. This might be a great alternative as it seems like the business would come to you. Maybe I should start a similar service on the East Coast!
Thanks for the good info.
Uh-oh….I sparked up a new competitor. Haha! Or maybe you can start a similar service for cats? But I am guessing that the domain name sleepoverpussy.com is already taken.

This sounds like a great program. DJ, let me know when you set up that service on the east coast:)
HA! You’re right. The doman name for a similar cat service might give people the wrong idea. Could be a little awkward…
