If you are a filmmaker or if you just enjoy making your own videos for YouTube! or other online video websites, you may want to consider creating some “How to” videos on HowCast. HowCast was founded by veterans of Google and YouTube, Howcast shows consumers engaging, useful how-to videos and guides wherever, whenever they need to learn how.

The videos that you will be creating are near studio quality, informative, and free how-to videos for consumers. HowCast offers emerging filmmakers an opportunity to gain experience, exposure and most importantly a source of residual income. Howcast partners with leading video sites and experiences across web, mobile, and emerging platforms to show consumers useful how-to videos wherever and whenever they need to learn how to do just about anything.

With high-quality, compelling video content and a growing audience of consumers, Howcast provides a wealth of innovative opportunities for advertisers, distributors, and publishers. Some examples of “How to” videos are: Want to know How to Look Great in Photographs, How to Roast a Perfect Chicken, or How to Jump-Start Your Car?

So if you are ready to get started creating your HowCast video and earning some residual income, the process is fairly straightforward. You’ll apply online, choose from a wide variety of titles, download the elements you need (which
includes your script, VO, production guidelines, and graphics) and have about two weeks to make your spot. You’ll then upload it and work with our producers to fine tune it. Once your video is accepted, you’ll receive a stipend of $50 and revenue sharing opportunities if your video is a hit on the web.

I would love to hear about any of you that have already created a HowCast video and if you are reading this blog – show us a sample of your work by posting a link to your video!

You can visit HowCast’s website here: HowCast
