I absolutely love this site. I came across it searching for how much you get paid for breakmedia video’s and I am really taken with the style and tempo of the site. I will be trying out some of these ideas over the coming months. Good work and please keep it up. I am in the affiliate business and there is a lot of money to be made in affiliating. It is a lot harder work than I envisaged but everytime you make a sale you know it was worth it.

Thanks for checking out my site Chip! What kind of affiliate sales do you make? Do you sell your own products or other people’s products?

    Hi MJ

I run a series of websites mainly around online poker, casino and forex. I do have a couple of other sites that use amazon for niche products like GHD hair straighteners etc.

‘Work With Michael’ is a broken link… takes you to I’d delete this from your list ASAP to keep your list of highest quality.

Thank you for catching that Jeff! I just deleted the link and the full blog post that I wrote about “Work With Michael” – I appreciate your feedback!

    Hello again Michael,

I guess a ‘guestbook’ is sort of out of date these days. Anyways, what is your experience/opinion on url shortening services? I have heard some programs frown upon them, and will even ban you if you use them.

  7. MJ Wolfe 15 April 2010 at 6:42 pm #

I only use URL shorteners when I am posting on Twitter – I have never used them in any other capacity. What are you using the URL shortener for?

  8. bdwilson 15 April 2010 at 7:47 pm #

I plan on using it for PDF based ebooks.

  9. MJ Wolfe 16 April 2010 at 4:16 am #

I would use the full URL and anchor text – I have seen a few instances where the tiny URL’s have stopped working. The last thing you want is to have to come back to your ebook and make changes to various URLs.

    Good luck!

Thank you Alrady! I just checked out your blog! Nice work! You are the second person to mention RedGage to me, I just added it to the list. Good luck with all of your endeavors!

Have you considered adding a tweet this or retweet button on your posts? I want to share this on Twitter but the post itself doesn’t have any easy share buttons, so instead what I’ll do is visit orly or bitly and change the address into a ‘tweetable’ link. I think people would share your posts more often if each page had social media buttons.

  13. MJ Wolfe 25 April 2010 at 1:30 pm #

Done. You should see a “Tweet This Post” button at the bottom of every one of my posts from now on. (Including this one!) Thanks for the tip!

I presently have a blog and they have twice labeled my sites as spam and they are not. Just my eHow articles. I want to get my own blog. I will be using Adsense on this blog. What should I use? WordPress or buy blog software?

  15. MJ Wolfe 25 April 2010 at 2:58 pm #

Hi Pam – there’s no need to buy blog software, but you should buy your own domain. Using the blogspot or wordpress domains won’t help your cause when it comes to the search engines. It’s better to have your own domain. I prefer WordPress over Blogger, but to be honest it took me a while to get the hang of using it. You can have Adsense on either WordPress or Blogger – it doesn’t matter. I highly reccommend Woo Themes free WordPress templates, be sure and choose the FREE themes if you go with them. You can find them here: Woo Themes The Residuals and Royalties blog uses a free Woo Theme as it’s template.

Hope that helps! Good luck Pam!
